We are seeking individuals with a good all round experience in either, topographical surveying, underground utility mapping or both, to support the expansion of our UK Geomatics business. The role will be based in our Shrewsbury office with travel throughout the UK required to meet the demands of our clients, which will require overnight stops. As a senior surveyor you will be responsible for delivering projects assigned to you within the allocate time and costs, while maintaining the high level of safety and quality our business expects. You will be required to efficiently organize survey activities, equipment and work with other field teams to complete site tasks, as well as review the project scope and specifications to ensure the recorded field data meets define accuracy and quality tolerances. On completion of the site work you will also be responsible for process the raw site data and producing the final project deliverables in line with our QA procedures.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree, HNC preferably in the geospatial field but not essential or TSA Surveying Course.
  • Proven experience within the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Demonstrable experience in topographical and/or underground utility mapping surveys.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing your own workload and meeting project deadlines.
  • The ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority.
  • Experience with operating and interpreting digital outputs from various Surveying and Utility Mapping instruments.
  • Experience with Land Survey ground modelling software.
  • Be able to work at locations around the UK which will include overnight stops.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Professional Membership of a Chartered Institution
  • Leica Total Stations, 3d Laser Scanners and GPS equipment.
  • IDS Duo series GPR and Radio Detection EML.
  • Leica Cyclone
  • LSS / SCC Surveying Software.
  • Civil 3d
  • Microsoft Office
