A successful candidate will have an opportunity to become an important part of a forward thinking survey practice with firm foundations. We provide land surveys, engineering surveys, 3D laser scanning and measured building surveys to a wide variety of clients across the UK.

This will be an exciting and challenging role that will provide involvement and experience in a wide range of surveying skills. It will involve leading survey projects alone and as part of a team and having individual week to week responsibilities. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to our ever evolving quality assurance and working procedures.

The role involves travel and overnight stays around the UK.

Desired Skills and Experience

All applicants will be considered, but the below items will be an advantage

Essential requirements:

  • Live within 30 miles of Ambergate, Derbyshire
  • 2 years or more experience in geomatics
  • Enthusiasm for a career in surveying
  • Desire to learn/improve survey techniques
  • Good problem solving, self-management and people skills
  • Freedom to travel over the whole UK with some overnight stays

Preferred, but not essential requirements:

  • Good competence in AutoCAD, survey and laser scanning software
  • High quality and discipline with all surveying, data output and drawings
  • Good experience of topographical and engineering surveys
  • Good experience of measured building surveys
  • Experience of 3D laser scanning

Helpful additional Items:

  • Member of, or working towards membership of RICS or CICES
  • Competent use of Leica survey equipment
  • Competent use of LSS, Cyclone, CloudWorx, MBS and StarNet
  • Personal Track Safety card (not essential)
  • Understanding of survey costing and timescale assessment
  • Any health and safety cards or qualifications
