<p>To deliver outstanding teaching provision at the College to ensure that achievement and the student experience are exceptional. The post holder will be expected to design, deliver and assess high-quality teaching and learning to apprentices aligned with the TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Geospatial Surveying.</p>



<p>The post holder will ensure students are prepared for both on-programme assessment and End Point Assessment (EPA), including the development of portfolios of evidence and professional interviews.</p>



<p><strong>Teaching and Learning</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>To develop and implement teaching and learning strategies that ensure students are successful in achieving their Geospatial Surveying qualification.</li>



<li>Deliver both classroom-based and practical field-based learning, including real-world simulations and work-based assessment.</li>



<li>Support learners to develop competence in the use of surveying equipment.</li>



<li>Guide learners in building a portfolio of evidence aligned to apprenticeship standards and EPA requirements.</li>



<li>Assess students using a range of methods including Practical observation, portfolio of evidence, written assignments and reports, real work environment assessments</li>



<li>To promote student centred learning, ensuring all students have access to differentiated learning materials.</li>



<li>To embed stretch and challenge so all students reach their full potential.</li>



<li>To identify and implement strategies to ensure that the student’s learning experience is of the highest standard and shows progress over time.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>School of Digital Built Environment </strong><strong></strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>To be involved with the School of Digital Built Environment activities.</li>



<li>To promote STEM across the College and at external events, maintaining and forging links with partner institutions, such as schools and universities.</li>



<li>To provide enrichment and enhancement activities within the Digital Built Environment sector.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Pastoral</strong></p>

<li>To take an active role in the selection, induction and support of students.</li>



<li>To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Degree or equivalent vocational qualification in Civil Engineering, Geospatial, Surveying or related.</li>



<li>Teaching and Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards.</li>



<li>Evidence of continuing professional development.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Knowledge/Experience</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Strong occupational competence in geospatial surveying, GIS, or a related discipline.</li>



<li>Knowledge of traditional surveying techniques, mathematical and geodetic principles, and professional industry standards.</li>



<li>Experience of effective team working and effective relationships between staff and students.</li>



<li>Ability to develop supportive working relationships with parents and other key stakeholders.</li>



<li>Knowledge of curriculum and assessment issues at level 3.</li>



<li>Understanding of curriculum developments and national initiatives.</li>



<li>Knowledge of current awarding body practices is preferable.</li>



<li>Knowledge of safeguarding issues.</li>



<li>Knowledge of equality and diversity issues.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Post Information</strong></p>

<li>Reports to Head of Engineering &amp; Digital Built Environment.</li>



<li>Salary – £32,769 &#8211; £48,084</li>



<li>The post holder will undertake all duties and responsibilities in compliance with regulatory, legislative and college procedural requirements.</li>
