<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>



<p>• Any Site Engineering, Topographic Survey, or GIS experience and/or related educational qualifications.</p>

<p><strong>Purpose</strong></p>



<p>To lead and manage the UK office-based Technical Support Team, ensuring KOREC customers across the UK &amp; Ireland receive accurate, practical and timely support via phone and email.</p>



<p>KOREC supports customers working in the geospatial, surveying, engineering and construction sectors, using technologies such as GNSS, total stations, scanning, mapping solutions, monitoring, machine control and associated software platforms. This role ensures our support function delivers an excellent customer experience, reduces downtime and helps customers get the most from their investment.</p>



<p>The role will also support the development and sharing of technical reference materials (guides, videos, FAQs, knowledge articles, white papers, etc.) for both internal teams and customers via the KOREC Knowledge Base.</p>



<p>In addition, the role will help strengthen the technical knowledge and capability of the Operations Team in Huntingdon through collaboration, coaching and regular site visits.</p>



<p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Liverpool office-based, 5 days per week (with flexibility to attend other company or customer locations as required).</p>



<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>



<p><strong>Technical Support Leadership &amp; Customer Service</strong></p>



<p>• Lead the Technical Support Team to ensure incoming customer enquiries are responded to quickly and resolved efficiently</p>



<p>• Monitor the age, allocation and quality of support tickets, with particular focus on high-value and strategic customers</p>



<p>• Ensure clear, accurate and complete ticket records are maintained in HappyFox, including troubleshooting steps and outcomes</p>



<p>• Support the team in handling escalations and complex technical queries when required</p>



<p>• Maintain high standards of customer communication, ensuring solutions are clear, practical and professional</p>



<p><strong>Process, Systems &amp; Reporting</strong></p>



<p>• Ensure customer contact details are checked and updated in Pipedrive CRM</p>



<p>• Track recurring issues, identify root causes and work with internal teams to reduce repeat support requests</p>



<p>• Contribute to the definition and improvement of support KPIs (e.g., response time, resolution time, customer satisfaction)</p>



<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>



<p>• Work closely with Sales, Service, Operations, Hire, and Product/Technical Specialists to ensure joined-up customer support</p>



<p>• Liaise with the wider KOREC support network to share best practice, technical updates and troubleshooting guidance</p>



<p>• Visit Huntingdon regularly to support and upskill the Operations Team, improving product knowledge and first-time fix rates</p>



<p><strong>Knowledge Base &amp; Technical Content</strong></p>



<p>• Source and share technical reference materials useful to colleagues and customers (documents, videos, quick guides, etc.)</p>



<p>• Create and maintain customer-facing and internal knowledge base articles</p>



<p>• Research and write user guides, troubleshooting documents and “how-to” resources (or videos where appropriate)</p>



<p>• Assist with the creation and compilation of training materials and technical documentation</p>



<p><strong>Technical Troubleshooting</strong></p>



<p>• Conduct hardware and software diagnostics and troubleshooting, including escalation to suppliers/manufacturers where required</p>



<p>• Stay up to date with KOREC’s core product portfolio through self-study and formal training</p>



<p>• Attend and/or deliver internal training sessions to improve team capability and consistency</p>



<p><strong>General</strong></p>



<p>• Carry out other duties and tasks as required</p>



<p>• Comply with Health &amp; Safety regulations to safeguard the interests of the business, our people and customers</p>

<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>



<p>• Experience in the geospatial/survey industry is essential</p>



<p>• Strong working knowledge of surveying and positioning technologies (e.g., GNSS/GPS, total stations, laser scanning and associated software)</p>



<p>• Proven experience leading or supervising a technical support/service desk team</p>



<p>• Confident communicating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical users</p>



<p>• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and escalations</p>

<li>Experience with processing software such as AutoCAD, LSS, SCC, Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, ReCap or similar</li>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Role Overview</h1>



<p>The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of utility and drainage surveys both on-site and in the office, working under the guidance of a senior surveyor. All work will be carried out in accordance with company procedures for Health &amp; Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental standards.<br><br>No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.</p>



<h1 class="wp-block-heading">The Role</h1>



<p>The role involves working on a range of utility and drainage survey projects using a combination of traditional surveying techniques and specialist technology.<br><br>Utility mapping is carried out using electromagnetic locating equipment and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to detect and map underground services. In addition, you will assist with drainage CCTV surveys, using camera systems to inspect and assess the condition of underground pipework, identifying defects, blockages, and structural issues.<br><br>Survey data is collected on site using GNSS and total station equipment and processed in the office using software such as N4CE and AutoCAD/BricsCAD (2D &amp; 3D), along with CCTV data review and reporting.<br><br>This is a physically active position combining outdoor site work in all conditions with office-based data processing.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities<br>• Assist in carrying out engineering and topographical surveys using total stations (Leica &amp; Trimble), digital levels, GNSS equipment, and laser scanning systems.<br>• Support the establishment and maintenance of site control networks and benchmarks.<br>• Assist with setting-out works for civil engineering, rail, and construction projects.<br>• Help ensure surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.<br>• Support the processing and checking of survey data using industry-standard software such as AIC N4ce, AutoCAD, and Leica Infinity.<br>• Assist in producing accurate drawings, reports, and survey deliverables in line with project and client requirements.<br>• Work closely with senior surveyors, site engineers, and project teams to ensure survey requirements are met.<br>• Adhere to company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.<br>• Support continuous improvement by learning best practice survey methods and techniques.</p>



<p>Essential Skills and Experience<br>• Some experience or practical exposure to land or engineering surveying.<br>• Basic knowledge of modern survey equipment (Leica and/or Trimble preferred).<br>• Willingness to learn survey control, setting-out, and data processing techniques.<br>• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.<br>• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.<br>• Full UK driving licence or working towards.</p>



<p>Desirable Skills and Qualifications<br>• HNC / HND / Degree (or working towards) in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.<br>• Familiarity with AIC N4ce, AutoCAD, or similar survey software.<br>• CSCS card or willingness to obtain.</p>
