This is a role for someone who enjoys both sides of utility surveying: being out on site collecting accurate data, and then processing that data properly into clear, reliable deliverables. The role requires undertaking safety supervision duties, including SPC and PWT-EH, once the individual has gained sufficient experience working in the London Underground environment.

The role requires planning and executing small, medium & large projects, managing timescales, adapting to challenges, and escalating issues when necessary. Flexibility is essential, with work required during days, nights, and some weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for undertaking Small to Large Scale topographical surveys

• Assist with Quotations

• Experience with Total stations, levelling and GPS/GNSS observations

• Working with the latest technology – example Mobile Mapping Systems

• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties that may arise on site or office

• Mentor and train less experienced team members as and when required

• Management and maintenance of survey equipment

• Production of CAD Drawings from Survey Data

• Post Processing of Survey Data – Traversing, levelling, GPS, Scale Factors & survey reports

• Assistance in the overall development of the survey department

• Adherence to Company manuals and processes

• Ensure QA/QC Compliance

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Proven experience in conducting land, topographic, and boundary surveys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in carrying out engineering and topographical surveys using total stations (Leica & Trimble), digital levels, GNSS equipment, and laser scanning systems.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of site control networks and benchmarks.
• Assist with setting-out works for civil engineering, rail, and construction projects.
