We have a new opportunity for a Senior Geomatics professional to head up an established team undertaking survey, monitoring, utility mapping, and 3D modelling across the UK, primarily on the rail network.

If you are an experienced, motivated and client focussed Geomatics Manager or Leader looking for a step up, we want to hear from you.  The team has large ongoing workbanks, sits on a number of national frameworks, and is currently working on a number of exciting and innovative new developments which will continue the growth of the team over coming years.

The role is based out of our Nottingham office.

Role Purpose

  • To oversee and develop the Bridgeway Geomatics Team in support of the Geomatics and Examinations Director.
  • To build workbanks, develop business, and ensure that the quality of works delivered conforms with the highest standards.
  • To investigate and research new methodologies and technologies, and how these may apply to the team’s day to day working,
  • To work with the Director on a strategic level, defining the future of the department and leading on business improvement.

Desired Skills

The ideal candidate will have a background of at least 8 years experience in the Geomatics field, ideally within a rail environment.  They will have experience in developing and managing teams and processes, and will be able to demonstrate success in the following areas:

  • Strong understanding of contracts and their administration
  • Able to read and understand complex scopes and drawings in order to understand delivery requirements
  • Quoting and tendering of works
  • Business development activities, including client management and presenting
  • Leadership and development of teams
  • The ability to adopt new technology and processes within a fast paced technological environment.
