Role Purpose:

The Digital Transformation Lead is accountable for the delivery of Digital Transformation programmes and projects.  The role is key to driving continual improvement within our operations and delivering the business digital transformation objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

As the Digital Transformation Lead you will undertake part or parts of the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Accountable for leading and managing programmes and projects to beat requirements
  • Accountable for the efficiency, performance and safety of the project teams to beat business KPIs
  • Accountable for management of programme and project risks
  • Accountable for liaison with SMT on the progress of the programmes
  • Accountable for supply chain management and performance on programmes and projects
  • Accountable for the implementation of safe systems of working, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Standard Operating Procedure documentation for projects, operations or processes as required
  • Lead or support process improvements to drive continual improvement and innovation
  • Lead ‘lessons learned’ sessions and contribute to the improvement of processes
  • Responsible for challenging and informing the SMT to set and delivery the Digital Transformation objectives
  • Responsible for scheduling resources to ensure milestones are met
  • Provide project brief to improvement teams prior to each project to ensure project meets its objectives
  • Understand and lead deployment of industry best practice and client specifications
  • Provide technical training and support to employees as part of project implementation
  • Produce and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and databases where necessary to facilitate the above tasks
  • You may also be required to undertake duties within other areas of the company as and when required

Key Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 level 2 qualifications e.g. GCSE’s including Maths & English
  • Excellent IT skills including competency in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly
  • Forensic attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Good organisational skills
  • UK driving licence

Preferable Skills:

  • Level 6 qualification e.g. degree within related field or relevant experience
  • Experience in leading improvement programmes and projects
  • Experience in digital transformation and change implementation
  • Evidence of successful delivery of change programmes and projects
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) knowledge / qualification

 Operating Environment:

The role is predominately an office-based role working from our Brentwood office with site visits and supplier visits across the UK as required.  Travelling and working away from home may also be required.
