Job Overview

As a Junior Surveyor, your role will involve learning and shadowing senior team members whilst you build knowledge on how to conduct surveys in a wide variety of environments. The different types of survey work you will carry out/assist with include; topographic, utility, mobile mapping, laser scanning and office data processing. The sectors in which we specialise are; rail and guided transport, highways and bridges, aviation and airside, estates and property, energy & utilities and environmental & Marine. PTS and CSCS accreditations are required, so willingness to complete is essential. You must have a full UK driving licence and be willing to take and pass regular drugs and alcohol screening.

Flexibility in working hours, the willingness to travel and to work outside in adverse weather conditions are all essential requirements of this role. This role will consist of 75% on site and 25% in the office.

Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all survey related duties
  • Management and maintenance of survey equipment
  • Production of CAD Drawings from Survey Data
  • Assistance in the overall development of the survey department
  • Adherence to Company manuals and processes
  • Ensure QA/QC Compliance

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Experience of using Robotic Total Stations & GNSS
  • An understanding of surveying systems and methods advantageous
  • A suitable qualification in a surveying related discipline advantageous
  • Experience using CAD software
  • A good team player with excellent communications skills
  • A desire to learn on the job and have a can-do attitude
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Basic Salary: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year dependant on experience, plus approximately £6,000 in overtime.
