The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the fast growing, multi-disciplined marine element of LandScope. A proven track record of engineering, installation and maintenance of marine survey technology – equipment and small vessel platforms –will be a prerequisite. Water based qualifications (e.g. RYA, commercial ticket) would be an advantage however not compulsory. Significant training will be offered as required.
Excellent communication and organisational skills will be required to work alongside our principal surveyor and senior hydrographic surveyor. A strong focus on process design, quality control and self-improvement is anticipated.
Our business offers the opportunity to develop solutions based on high resolution multibeam and LiDAR applications in infrastructure engineering, asset management and conservancy sectors. Our latest hydrographic survey systems – R2Sonic, Applanix, BlueView, HySweep – are augmented with mobile mapping (LiDAR and photography), terrestrial scanning, UAV, high resolution geophysics and cloud based delivery to maintain our industry leading solutions.
Our marine systems engineer will be expected to attend mobilisations and site campaigns, however these are largely limited to UK deployments and typically of no more than five days. The anticipated balance of work is circa 30% field and 70% office / workshop / boat-house based.
