About the position

We are developing a new NDT department within Murphy Surveys and are looking for an experience GPR NDT Surveyor to help expand and developed this field further.

Qualifications/Experience

Candidates must, ideally, be able to prove that they are fully conversant with the most up to date techniques, methods and practices, including ground penetrating radar; have a good grasp on construction and reinforcement engineering. They must be able to attend site, collect and analyse data, and write detailed reports.

Candidate requirements

  • Relevant Qualifications and/or relevant experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of GPR and NDT surveying
  • Understand scopes of work and project requirements
  • Ideally have working knowledge of current CAD programs
  • Possess an understanding of common industry practices and standards,
  • Detailed knowledge of survey methods and survey devices, GPR, Ultrasonic, and Total stations, GPS and data collectors
  • Knowledge of utility detection equipment would be advantageous
  • Ability to perform detailed field and office surveying work
  • The use of post processing software and AutoCAD
  • Excellent data processing and analysis skills
  • Able to write factual reports
  • To build and maintain client relationships ensuring we deliver to objectives set
