Due to recent project awards and backlog for 2021 and beyond, we are looking to expand our team and offer an exciting and rewarding opportunity to an experienced Senior Geomatics Surveyor with rail experience.

You will take a key role in our innovative and growing business and will have the opportunity to lead, project manage and develop our Rail department with the support of a proactive and collaborative team.

* The role will involve regular site work. Residence within 40-mile radius of Derby will be advantageous but candidates from a wider area will also be considered. *

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Lead with clients and the survey team
  • Processing and delivering surveys to our high standard
  • Implementing several rail survey disciplines
  • Training, mentoring and instructing TML surveyors
  • Demonstrate reasonable – detailed understanding of the current Network Rail Survey related Standards and Guidelines
  • Help with and influence our continued growth
  • Assisting with tenders and contacts
  • Assisting with our RISQS Audit compliance and rail related health and safety
  • Provide management and progress reports monthly or by project/contract
  • To contribute to our ongoing R&D development 

Ideal Requirements

Wide experience and knowledge base of a wide Measurement Survey for:

  • Rail Surveys
  • Static 3D Laser Scanning and processing
  • Mobile Mapping 3D Laser Scanning and processing
  • UAV Photogrammetry
  • Topographical Surveys
  • GNSS Processing and Control Networks
  • StarNet Software
  • Good LSS or N-4ce software competency
  • Good AutoCAD software competency
  • Faro Scene or Leica Cyclone awareness or good competency
  • Excellent quality and presentation standards

 Essential Requirements

  • Clean UK driving license
  • Must be willing to work away from home from time to time
