Bridgeway Aerial Limited are a fully established UAV data capture Operator working throughout the UK, with offices in Nottingham and Oxford.  Paired with the Geomatics and Rail expertise of Bridgeway Consulting Limited, we are involved in undertaking UAV projects on infrastructure in the rail, highways, renewable energy and environmental sectors. With clients including Network Rail, The Environment Agency, Jacobs ch2m, Lightsource and WSP, we  have an exciting portfolio of projects delivering survey and inspection services.  We are currently delivering various datasets including still photography and 4K video, photogrammetric pointclouds, FLIR based thermal imaging, hyperspectral and multispectral imaging and LiDAR.

To help with our further expansion and the delivery of confirmed workbanks, we are recruiting for a Senior UAV Surveyor.  Day to day responsibilities will include:

Leading on site data capture, piloting UAV platforms including the DJI Matrice 210 RTK

  • Undertaking complex survey tasks
  • Survey and inspection data processing and reporting
  • Providing assistance in tendering and feasibility studies
  • Providing technical support and project planning
  • Involvement in Research and Development projects within the wider team
  • Input into data processing and production of deliverables
  • Equipment maintenance and software updates using AirData and DJI Assistant

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 50 hours of UAV logged UAV operations, using DJI platforms
  • Full IT literacy
  • Experience in mapping and inspection
  • A good knowledge of engineering principles, including an appreciation of different types of survey and inspection techniques.
  • An ability to self manage and take responsibility for project deliverables
  • An ability to train and mentor junior staff
  • A current CAA UAS pilot qualification
  • Be fully mobile and able to travel throughout the UK, showing a flexible attitude to work

Additional preferable qualities include:

  • Knowledge of working on and around the rail infrastructure
  • Knowledge of photogrammetry data processing techniques
  • Based in Nottingham or the immediate surrounding area
  • Operational Safety Case reduced proximity flying experience

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
