Purpose of the Role: 

 

As the survey director within our team you are accountable for helping grow and shape our surveying department which includes being responsible for the growth of existing business/workstreams as well as the ongoing development of new opportunities for business growth. You will also be actively involved in key client accounts, projects, bringing added value and commerciality through your deep understanding and experience within the survey industry.

 

Being involved and overseeing the survey division and working with the head of survey to manage the teams and projects using your experience to expand the business and the organic growth.

 

This role requires someone with minimum of 10-15 years of varied survey experience.

 

Area(s) of Responsibility:

 

  • To work with the Divisional Director on implementing further strategies and plans for the UK market as part of rapid growth and expansion
  • Identify business opportunities and new customers, estimating potential and prioritising activities vs opportunities.
  • Contribute to the developing work by providing an outstanding client experience to retain and grow client relationships.
  • Have oversight in the day to day running of all survey projects.
  • Provide mentor and guidance of our Head of Survey and the survey teams.

               

Job requirements:

 

  • Surveying / Civil engineering qualification (Essential)
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of varied Survey experience (Essential)
  • Experience in Utility Surveying projects (Desirable)
  • Membership of relevant professional body e.g. CICES. (Desirable)
  • Chartered surveyor (Desirable)
  • Highly computer literate (Essential)
  • Strong Data Management skills (Essential)
  • Full UK Driving license (Essential)
  • Customer base (Desirable)

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes internally and finds ways to improve processes
  • Assisting the Divisional Director in developing and implementing growth strategies for the surveying division.
  • Make recommendations for product quality and reliability.
  • Aid with any Technical Sales requirements.
  • Identify and hand over business development opportunities with the commercial team.
  • Liaising with the marketing team to ensure highest quality marketing and promotional materials
  • Assist and support the client proposal process at the bidding stage to maximise the company’s opportunity to win the work
  • Ensuring the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients.
  • Providing guidance, leadership and technical expertise to survey team members
  • Ensuring Texo DSI survey specifications are delivered in accordance to survey scope provided
  • Provide guidance, leadership and expertise to all other survey team members
  • Working with the Head of survey to develop survey scopes through detailed liaison with clients
  • Assist and support the client proposal process at the bidding stage to maximise the company’s opportunity to win the work
