The SUMO Group is one of the largest multi-disciplinary survey practices in the UK, with nationwide coverage.   With over 30 years of trade and employing some of the leading individuals within our industry, we can offer unrivalled expertise across the entire survey sector.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Survey Manager at our Barnet, North London office.

The role is a senior position to help manage a busy office of multi-disciplined surveyors.

As a survey manager you will be expected to:

  • Manage and promote our company values and standards
  • Liaise with clients
  • Prepare quotations
  • Manage wide and varied survey projects
  • Ensure the delivery of a quality product
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Enable and support continuous career development for staff
  • Promote (and lead by example) strict adherence to the Sumo Services Health and Safety policy
  • Communicate effectively and build excellent working relationships
  • Have excellent time keeping skills

Skills required

  • 10-15 years industry experience
  • HND or Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Expert knowledge of survey instrumentation (Trimble, Leica, Faro)
  • Proficiency with survey processing software
  • Expert Knowledge of CAD software in in producing 2D and 3D survey drawings
  • Varied experience of topographical, Utility, measured building survey
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK or EU driving licence.
  • Proficient IT skills using Microsoft office
  • Either have or are working towards professional membership with ICES and/or RICS.
  • A good knowledge of different industry sectors (architectural, engineering, heritage)
