An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bridgeway Aerial team as a UAV Operations Manager.

As a UAV Operations Manager, you will provide administrative and operational planning and management to the Bridgeway Aerial team, helping to deliver UAV survey and inspection projects supported by the wider Bridgeway team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Logistical planning of operational works and liaising with clients.
  • Creation and submission of aviation and rail specific documentation to clients.
  • Undertaking site walkouts and desktop studies.
  • Research and provision of source data for creation of HSQE documentation, including Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets.
  • Collation and storage of returned site documentation.
  • Booking of vehicles, accommodation and equipment in conjunction with Business Support Services.
  • Assistance in gathering information for the purposes of tendering.
  • Ensure correct storage of site teams’ survey and examination data, site notes, and shift summary forms.
  • Tracking and organising equipment calibration & repair and recording of calibration results and certificates, using AirData software.
  • Tracking and organisation of training and competence management for the Bridgeway Aerial team.
  • Negotiation with suppliers, raising of Purchase Orders and administration of Invoices.
  • Generation of project specific racecards and KPIs in line with the relevant Project Managers.
  • Undertaking data capture using UAV platforms where required to do so.
  • Understanding of rail specific constraints and associated project planning.

The role will involve extensive training and mentoring, and it would be advantageous (although not essential) for the applicant to have experience in one or more of:

  • Planning and undertaking works in the rail environment
  • Survey and photogrammetry techniques
  • Commercial UAV flight planning

Candidates must also hold a full UK driving licence.
