CAD Technician
Job Description
Formby Surveys continues to grow and we’re looking for a CAD Technician (based in Liverpool) to join our team.
We are seeking a candidate to join our team who can demonstrate key skills as a CAD Technician working with both 3D point clouds and 2D data. It’s important to note that this is not a design position – we are specifically looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years experience as a CAD Technician working within the geospatial sector, capable of processing survey data and delivering projects to a high standard. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of CAD, and its application within a reality capture and geospatial surveying company.
What you’ll be doing:
Working with point cloud data to produce accurate 2D CAD drawings.
Contributing to prestigious projects around the UK.
Working within our internal CAD department dedicated to drawing production.
Collaborating with all our internal survey departments.
Required skillsets:
Experience of working with 3D point clouds & 2D data.
A thorough understanding of AutoCAD and other Autodesk products.
Working knowledge of blocks, plotting, layering, external references, coordinate grids & datums.
Time management skills with an emphasis on delivery.
Excellent attention to detail.
