Assistant Surveyor

Job Description

ROLE SPECIFICATION:
Responsible for providing day to day support to Surveyors on various sites, developing and progressing towards becoming a competent surveyor. Flexibility is essential, with work required during days, nights, and some weekends with overtime available.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in line with company quality procedures and technical specifications
  • Provide effective support to surveyors
  • Check survey equipment and load van
  • Ensure correct set-up of all equipment for effective use
  • Be available and adaptable to changes in shift patterns
  • Build rapport with other surveyors to create a positive environment
  • Report equipment faults promptly
  • Complete timesheets accurately and daily (or weekly if working away)
  • Take responsibility for own equipment and PPE
  • Download and back-up survey data
  • Take ownership of problems as they occur but seeks advice if unsure
  • Stays focused on completing a task in the allotted time and avoids disruption

  • Being fully aware of and actively complying with Munnelly Group’s policies and
    procedures relevant to your own responsibilities.
  • Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.
  • Initiating continuous improvement in your own areas of responsibility.

  • Participate willingly in learning and training when using site equipment

    surveyor level.
  • Keep detailed personal training records, in line with agreed personal objectives
  • Maintain professionalism with client during any direct contact around work enquiries
  • Work safely
  • Husbandry with focus on responsibility for equipment

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • A good team player with excellent communications skills
  • No experience necessary but a desire to learn on the job and have a can-do attitude
    is a must
  • Be available and adaptable to changes in shift patterns
  • Organised and focused
  • Full UK driving licence
