Project Delivery Surveyor

Job Description

Job purpose

You will be individually responsible for specific survey projects, leading survey activities, managing multiple survey teams and assisting the Project Manager, Senior Surveyor and Principal Project Manager. The Project Delivery Surveyor will manage complex survey tasks and organise personnel for a particular project.

You will also provide assistance in tendering and feasibility studies when asked by the Director. The individual should provide in depth technical support and guidance to the team and customers.

You will carry out all responsibilities in a professional manner representing Bridgeway positively internally and also to customers at all times.

Job duties

  • Communication with clients, ensuring the surveys are undertaken as per clients’ specification and advising them on the progress on regular basis.
  • Lead one or multiple teams and be responsible for survey operations on projects delivering to time and quality.
  • Use equipment in the correct manner and ensure it is clean and functional on completion of the operation.
  • Ensuring the surveying tasks are carried out to the specified level of accuracy.
  • Managing Engineering Surveyors, Graduates and Technicians during “on-site” survey, advising and operating instrument or setting up equipment if required.
  • Carry out data processing and validation to required specification.
  • Support the development of the Engineering Surveyors, Graduates and Technicians.
  • Be proactive in seeking advice from Project Manager(s) and Senior Surveyor(s) to develop their own skills.
  • Produce site records as required.
  • Liaise with all outside parties in advance of the works to ensure no delays once on site.
  • Provide technical support for the department in survey and railway track alignment duties.
  • Be trained in safety critical duties up to Engineering Supervisor level.
  • Undertake Safety Critical duties in line with competencies held and certification gained.
  • Undertake other duties in accordance with the requirements of the Company.

You MUST have the following:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK Manual Driving License
  • Minimum 5 years Rail surveying experience
