About the Opportunity

  • This is an opportunity for an experienced Land Surveyor who wants more than “business as usual”
  • Based from our central Reading office, you’ll join a collaborative Geomatics team that values technical excellence, modern methods, and professional respect
  • You’ll work on a wide variety of projects, using current survey technology and software – from terrestrial laser scanning to advanced point cloud processing
  • You’ll be trusted to manage your work, plan surveys properly, and deliver quality, not just volume
  • If you’re looking to develop deeper technical capability while progressing your career in a respected, forward thinking environment, this land surveyor role offers exactly that

Here’s what you’ll need

  • A degree, equivalent qualification, or significant experience in Land Surveying, Geomatics or Reality Capture
  • Proven experience delivering topographical and laser scanning surveys, with additional exposure to measured building, deformation or channel surveys desirable
  • Confidence using industry standard equipment (Leica or Trimble GNSS, Total Stations, digital levels, terrestrial laser scanners)
  • Experience with processing software such as AutoCAD, LSS, SCC, Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, ReCap or similar
  • A strong understanding of point cloud registration and 3D data workflows
  • The ability to manage survey work on site, communicate clearly with project teams, and maintain high QA standards
  • A positive, professional approach with an interest in mentoring junior surveyors
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for site travel (including occasional overnight stays)
  • Membership of a professional body, or a clear intention to work towards Chartership would be an advantage
