The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Surveyor to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and oversee a variety of high-profile projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. You will play a key part in supervising survey operations, performing QA/QC checks on deliverables, and supporting the professional development of team members through training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the execution of land and measured building surveys, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of survey data and deliverables prior to client submission, maintaining rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Train, mentor, and support junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Lead by example by carrying out your own surveys using the latest equipment and technology, setting high standards for technical excellence and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure project requirements are fully understood and met.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of workflows, processes, and team performance.
Requirements
- Significant experience in land surveying, including both fieldwork and post-processing, ideally with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in LSS/N4CE or Topodot for data processing and deliverables.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with proven experience overseeing teams and projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational abilities1.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to team development.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- CSCS card.
- DBS check.
- Drone license (CAA qualification).
- Experience with a range of survey types, including 3D laser scanning, GPS, and underground utility surveys.
