Countdown has started to TSA conference

Published: 25 Oct 2023

With just two weeks to go until our annual conference at the British Motor Museum in Warwick, the countdown has well and truly started. If you have not already done so, please register to attend on Wednesday 8 November for an experience that promises to be out of this world. We are almost at capacity, so it is absolutely essential to register.

Ground Control to Major Tim!

This year’s keynote speaker is Tim Peake, internationally renowned as an astronaut, pilot, educator and ambassador for space and STEM. Tim was the first British ESA astronaut to visit the International Space Station, which he reached at the end of 2015, before spending an incredible 186 days in space.

Time to visit the British Motor Museum

In addition to Tim Peake’s address, there will be many further interesting sessions taking place, including updates on the three core visions of TSA:

  • helping you build a better business
  • encouraging companies with a survey requirement to only use a TSA member
  • making every young person aware of surveying as a career option.

Simon Navin, EDI Chair for CICES will be presenting, we have an update on the Geospatial Apprenticeships and a fantastic initiative with Scouts, so be prepared! During the lunch break, you will have ample time to network and enjoy the rest of the stunning venue.

Film buffs and motoring enthusiasts alike will enjoy the film and TV car zone, which includes the bright pink FAB 1 from Thunderbirds, the Land Rover Defenders used in the opening sequence of Bond movie Skyfall and Tomb Raider and a replica of the DeLorean from Back to the Future 2.

Royal watchers will be thrilled to see the first bespoke royal Land Rover state review car – one of the fleet of vehicles used for HM Queen Elizabeth II’s first Commonwealth Tour – and a 1971 Rover P5B, which was the personal property of the late Queen but is on long term loan to the Museum.

Every petrolhead will enjoy seeing the world’s largest collection of historic British cars, including four of the world’s fastest MGs, along with a range of other beautiful sports cars and a unique array of prototypes that never quite made it into production.

We hope to see as many members as possible at the conference and look forward to welcoming faces old and new. If you would like to attend, please get in touch by 31st October 2023 with your details. We’ll see you soon!
